Meet vincent
Vincent E. Colavita is running for Superintendent of Highways for the Town of Huntington. This is his first entry into politics. Since 2016, Vincent and his wife, Lauren, have called the Village home, drawn by Huntington’s diversity, beauty, and strong sense of community—values they are committed to preserving through civic engagement.
Vincent holds a bachelor’s degree in History from C.W. Post and a master’s in Information and Knowledge Strategy from Columbia University. With a 20-year career as a technology and innovation leader in the legal industry, he brings deep management and leadership experience to the role. Known as a collaborative, transparent leader, Vincent emphasizes listening, motivating, and building consensus—skills he will apply to ensure safe, efficient roadways for the Town.
He believes the Highway Department must be more transparent with both Town Hall and residents. His priorities include proactive planning, staff training, cost-effective innovation, and environmental responsibility. Vincent will partner with state, county, and union leaders to improve services like drainage, snow removal, and road repair—always with a focus on community and sustainability.
